It is not up to us to decide whether the ECTS awarded will be recognized at your university. Please clarify this with your faculty before applying.

All courses are taught in English. This is why the English language level B2 is required.
Due to the entry regulations for German nationals, the passport must be valid for at least 30 days beyond the date of departure and have at least two free pages for visa stamps. If you are not a German citizen, please inform yourself about the entry requirements for South Africa.

Red Bus (Private Day Tour)
Explore all the top and lesser-known iconic monuments and famous landmarks on our Cape Town sightseeing bus tours. Our own private tour allows us to explore the best of this city, at your own pace. With over 20 highlights, you'll have plenty of opportunities to explore the Cape Town landmarks and attractions that appeal to you in this award-winning city!
Cape Town is the country's oldest city and the seat of the Parliament of South Africa. Although it is the second largest city of South Africa, after Johannesburg, it is known for its habour and its natural setting. This is why Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by the New York Times.
Table Mountain is one of the most well-known mountains in Africa. It provides a magnificent view to cosmopolitan Cape Town. Take the lift to explore one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Traditional lunch time at Hout Bay: - Fish & Chips or - Salad roll & Chips (for vegatarians)
We will do this excursion at the beginning of the September School, so you can get a feeling about everything. Afterwards you can reach out to our local coordinator to plan your own additional trips in your free time.
Germany has the best beer in the wold, but South Africa has the best wine in the world. So you have to experience an exceptional wine tasting while enjoying the serene surroundigs of the Franschhoek mountains and vineyards in the most exclusive locations. This day will be the ultimate spoil and the perfect opportunitiy to relax and celebrate life.
As part of the Cape Floristic Region Protected Area, that was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this garden is one of the great botanic gardens of the world. Run by the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), it contributes to South Africa's sustainable developement by facilitating access to biodiversity areas.
Boulders Beach is located in Simon's Town and home of a unique and endangered land-based colony of African Penguins.
Robben Island and V&A Waterfront (on your own)
Half-day excursion and guided tour to Robben Island on your own. Robben Island is known as the Apartheid prison and “Mandela University”
Light lunch at the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Afterwards you can explore this neighbourhood and enjoy the nightlife at the fun places of Cape Town.
Individual Tours on your own expense in your free time:
We also want to make sure that you have enough free time to explore the region on your own. A list of further attractions and acitivities, that we highly recommend, will be provided to participants in advance. Additional excursions are optional and may be organised if there is sufficent interest on your own expenses

Single Basis vs. Shared Basis:
Your particiation fee depends on whether you book a single room or share a double room. In a shared double room you have 2 single beds and we take gender seperation into account when allocating the rooms.
The total costs are as follows: 1.200€ per person (sharing) 1.600€ per person (single)
When they are happy, they eat. When they are sad, they eat. When they fight, they eat. So they really love their food and therefore they really want to give you a taste of their food.

If you think about renting a vehicle: Please be aware of the fact that in South Africa they are driving on the left side. There are frequent warnings about deep potholes. An international driving licence would be helpful.
